We offer full service sequencing (reaction set-up, clean up, run and delivery) and fragment analysis data generation and offer personalized support to our users.  Our main equipment has the resources needed for running a wide variety of sequencing and fragment analysis applications such as direct sequencing, primer-walking sequencing, plasmid sequencing, AFLPs, RFLPs, Microsatellite analysis, LOH, LH-PCR, SNP validation and SNP screening.  We also offer workshops and trainings at a low cost to students and researchers from every campus and departments associated to the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), INBRE/AABRE associated institutions and other academic and research institutions in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean region.

Through our full collaboration with the Materials Characterization Center (MCC), we and other genomic-based facilities within the University, such as the Functional Genomics Research core (FGRc), the Bioinformatics Satellite Laboratory (BSL) and the High Performace Computing facility (HPCf), are creating an alliance of researchers and students who share common research interests and who work together to strengthen the scientific infrastructure and research competitiveness within Puerto Rico.

1. We are open Monday through Friday during normal bussiness hours.  Anyone visiting the facility should give us prior notice or schedule an appointment with the staff.  **Please, contact us through our e-mail as we are not always available to answer the phones.**
2. PLEASE READ OUR Terms of Agreement CAREFULLY.  Any user/client submitting samples or requesting SGF services will be considered to have read and fully agree with SGF Terms of Agreement.  An official copy of the terms will be sent to you upon request.
3. Average pricing starts just under $4.00 per reaction for both sequencing and genotyping services.  Actual price will depend on volume and user sample pre-processing.
